June Beneficial Ownership Reporting Outreach Activities
As part of our efforts to educate small businesses and other key stakeholders about newbeneficial ownership reporting requirements, FinCEN participated in the following events in June. This year, FinCEN has directly reached 90,000+ stakeholder groups through more than 135 beneficial ownership events and other engagements—including conferences,webinars, roundtables, and informational sessions—in partnership with secretaries of state, government agencies, industry groups, congressional offices, service providers, chambers of commerce, and other organizations.

- New York State Society of CPAs (New York, New York)On June 11, FinCEN staff presented to the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).
- Beneficial Ownership Events with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s Office(Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona)On June 11, FinCEN Director Andrea Gacki held an event in partnership with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s (I-AZ) office at the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. On June 12, Director Gacki held an event in partnership with Sen. Sinema’s office at Phoenix College. At both events, Director Gacki deliveredremarkson beneficial ownership reporting, followed by a Q&A session with attendees.
- Federal Business Council Government Procurement Conference (Washington, D.C.)On June 12, FinCEN engaged with hundreds of attendees at the Government Procurement Conference in Washington, D.C.
- Small Business Expo (Chicago, Illinois)On June 13, FinCEN engaged with more than a thousand attendees at the Small Business Expo in Chicago. As part of the event, FinCEN held a workshop on beneficial ownership reporting. A full list of upcoming Small Business Expos FinCEN will attend is at the end of this note.
- Prep My Business Event with the Washington Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business CenterOn June 13, FinCEN staff held a virtual presentation in partnership with the Washington Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center.
- TechConnect World Innovation Conference (Maryland)On June 17 and 18, FinCEN engaged with hundreds of attendees, including small business and startup owners, at the TechConnect World Innovation Conference in Maryland.
- Federal Identity Forum & Expo 2024 (Maryland)On June 26, FinCEN engaged with hundreds of attendees and participated in a panel discussing the value of beneficial ownership information.
- American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Washington, D.C.)On June 27, FinCEN staff participated in a discussion with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
